A toast to cross-border cooperation

Today we announce another larp that has creators from three different countries. The creators Hilda Levin, Leïla Teteau-Surel and Maija Korhonen told us that they were inspired by the concept of "Choosing the monkey", a tool for boys to avoid showing emotions that Anne-Karin Linder spoke about on Knutepunkt. Toast to the War combines game mechanics inspired by Juhana Peterson's Plastic Cup and modern light-controlled play to tell a story of the emotions of war trauma being surpressed because of a culture where war is connected to pride. The result is a highly esthetical blackbox portrait of pride and sorrow. This larp was made during the Pilot Larporatory at the Larpwriter Summer School 2013. Read more on the larps page.
