Dance of the Bringers

First out in November we give you: Dance of the Bringers by Alex Brown

Dance of the Bringers is a non-verbal, movement larp, following the fate of magical spirits as guardians of a troubled ecosystem. The larp uses discussions on climate grief and joy to paint symbols onto fabric and stone props. The paintings in turn inspire somatic movement and dance to a soundtrack of tribal techno and dark electronica, realising the fate of the bringers in the Vjosë-Nartë delta, Albania.

This larp is inspired by the Albanian wildlife as well as migrant birds on passage through the Adriatic flyway, one of the most important wildlife corridors in Europe. It is written in solidarity with the ongoing protests against the ecological destruction of protected land, as part of a residency in April 2026 with Albanian Ornithological Society (@aos_alb).

Alex Brown is an artist, larp designer, and birder, living in Oslo.
